"Stewardship is everything you do after you say I believe." At the very least stewardship is our grateful response to God's grace and goodness. It requires a consideration of how our choices affect us and others, of how we can be good caretakers of the created world and of how we can best serve God as disciples of Christ. God calls us to make the choices that make us the best stewards we can be.

prayer -

Spend time studying God's Word, praying and listening to God -- spend time sitting at the feet of Jesus. So I encourage you today spend time with the Lord and start allowing God to work through you to help the least of these..

worth -

The resources of our money and wealth can be used for good or for ill. We can use what we have in responsible, positive, thankful ways that bring joy and that share bounty with the poor and celebrate the occasions of God's breaking through to our lives.

When Meredith and I were first married, we lived week to week, and so whenever we went to church I would make sure not to put too much money in my wallet. That way I wouldn't have to give too much. I assured myself that one day off in the future when we were making more money......
