Nashville is an amazing city in which to live and "be in mission with" our brothers and sisters in Christ. Our program partners are many wonderful agencies that focus not only on the needs of the marginalized but also on structural change. We provide life changing experiences for young adults who are willing to share of themselves and grow through relationships with others who are racially, economically and culturally different from themselves. We also have wonderful churches we partner with who support and encourage our young adults during their volunteer year.
Our model of intentional Christian community including simple living, prayer, sharing, caring, and accountability, helps sustain the young adults as they experience the challenges and blessings of "being in mission with" others.
Following their volunteer year, young adults continue to seek ways in which they can be examples of the love of Christ in the world. Several continue to work with their agency, many attend graduate schools, 40% attend seminary, some have gone into full time mission work, others focus on youth in schools, and some are in the medical field.
