the Nursery!
All ages are welcome in worship at Second Presbyterian Church, but our youngest members and visitors are often more comfortable with our loving and knowledgeable staff in the church nursery.

Located on the first floor of the Education Building, the nursery is cheerful space, decorated with bright designs, proclaiming "God made the sunshine, God made the sea, God made the animals and God made me!" This message of God's unconditional love is what we convey to children in this nurturing environment.

The nursery is specially designed to serve infants and children up to two years of age. Filled with age-appropriate toys and books, the nursery also has a table for art and snacks, a changing table and plenty of room to play!

Connected to the main nursery room, we have a quiet room with cribs for sleeping babies and a rocking chair, providing privacy for nursing moms.

We also provide pagers for parents so that the staff can reach them if necessary.

Nursery Staff:
Because little ones do better with consistency, our paid caretakers work in the nursery every Sunday from 8:00 am until 12:15 pm. This includes both worship services and the Sunday school hour. Nursery care is also provided for special church services and events.

Gina Jones -:
Gina has been working in our nursery for several years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and is pursuing her Masters Degree. She also works full time at Nashville State Community College.

Gina is the mother of three grown children and the proud grandmother of two. She grew up caring for little ones as she is the eldest of six in her family.

She loves gardening, hiking and playing with her grandchildren!

Asma Haseem –
Asma has been taking care of the little ones in our church nursery every Sunday morning for the last six years! She has been a pre-school teacher for the last six years as well. She is the mother of two college aged children. Asma has a B.A. in Business with a minor in Early Childhood Education.

She loves reading, hiking, and playing with the babies every Sunday at Second Presbyterian Church!
