Second Presbyterian Church is a joyful community of faith called to proclaim the Christian gospel in worship and education, to love one another.....
We place a high value at Second on caring for one another. During our worship service there is a time for people to share their joys and concerns, often a quite moving part of worship.
We show our love for one another through prayer, as well as concrete expressions of Christian care. When members are hospitalized, the pastors and members alike visit them. We give congregational and pastoral support in times of crisis.
We show we care for one another in our ongoing relationships and providing an open and inclusive community into which all of God's people are welcomed.
Second has a variety of programs designed to enhance fellowship. We eat, study, and play together, and often laugh and cry together, Special gatherings for older adults, young adults (twenty-and thirtysome things) youth, and children are ongoing.
Through elementary fellowship for children and a youth fellowship for Junior and Senior highs, our young people are offered a place to belong, a place in which they have opportunities for service, fellowship, and growing into a mature Christian faith.
